We spent an amazing couple of days at the 2024 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth last week, and we thought we'd share a few highlights with you!
From the moment we stepped onto the course, you could feel the energy and excitement in the air. Wentworth’s grounds were immaculate, with perfectly manicured fairways that looked almost too pristine to play on. We started off by checking out some of the practice sessions at the driving range and putting green, and it’s a whole new level of impressive seeing top pros like Justin Rose up close. Watching their practice routines in real time is something else—precision and absolute focus.
The setup at Wentworth was fantastic. Between the action on the course, we took advantage of the food and drinks area, indulging in some gourmet bites (the street food stalls were a big hit!). With a pint of Guiness in hand and the sun shining (apart from the Saturday morning where we were holding our brollies too), it was the perfect atmosphere to kick back and enjoy the tournament.
We made our way to the grandstands for the main action and got a prime spot on the 14th green just in time to see some nail-biting finishes. The crowd was electric and you could feel the suspense every time a player stepped up for a putt, knowing how much was on the line.
One of the best parts was the access to the fan zones, where they had some fun activities and giveaways that kept everyone entertained. Even if you weren’t a huge golf fan, there was something for everyone.
All in all, the day was an unforgettable mix of world-class golf, luxury, and entertainment. Wentworth really knows how to host, and the BMW PGA Championship lived up to every expectation. If you ever get the chance to go, don’t hesitate—it’s an experience worth having at least once.
